The excellent staff, they were very helpful and did everything to make our short stay the best possible, the location is a plus!

    Bed and the air conditioned

  • Older travelers

The room was comfortable with a king size bed two tables and two chairs (although we would have been courting death to sit on one of them as it wobbled alarmingly!). The room was large enough and the shower room reasonable with sink/toilet/bidet. The bed linen was changed during our 5 day stay as were the towels.

Dodgy knees and dicky tickers - forget it. The lift is only for residents of the building and not for hotel guests. The reception is in the 1st floor (2nd if you are American) and the accommodation is on the 3rd floor (4th USA). If you have some weighty luggage you may have a problem. The reception does not have any of the usual tourist information you might expect. Being on a main thoroughfare and near to the forum (@ 300 metres) there is a fair bit of noise throughout the night and the windows do little to obscure this but if you remember to bring your earplugs you will not have a problem.

First impression was shocking! An apartment house with a tiny signboard of foro romano, no one who were able to let us in for first 10 minutes, no elevator and the list goes on. But then we realized that receptionist tried hard to please us, that hotel situated in the heart of antique Rome and that is really chip. So i would recommend this hotel for people who don't care about luxury and design ad just want to spend a few days in Rome

really poor breakfast, noisy rooms, accommodation in apartment house

excellent service, very nice and friendly reception desk, tasty and plenty of breakfast in the morning

Location was excellent for visiting ancient Rome. A homely bed and breakfast feeling. Lucia the owner was very friendly.

Noise of street gets very invasive. We could only sleep wearing earplugs. Tv was too small and had only Italian broadcasts.

no reception , breakfast was awful street noise was unbearable

room on the main street, lots of noise. no hot water.

I do not really think that there was something interesting concerning the hotel which has not something to do with the typicall sense of a hotel. It could be a pension rather than a hotel.

The "hotel" was in the first and third floor of a building. The room was really old, noisy and I did not understand why but the floor of the room was trembling during the whole staying. The breakfast was more than poor. In no way the price that we paid does not represent the quality of our staying.

You should have mentioned that the rooms are on the 2d and 3d floor and the existing elevator cannot be used. We are seniors and had difficulty climbing the stairs. The tips for carrying the luggage up and down, (four times as we stayed there at the beginning and the end of our trip) added to the price of the room. On Oct. 11 and 12 we could not shower as there was no warm water in the bathroom and everyone we asked gave us another story. We should definitely get an apology if not a discount for the aggravation due the lack of hot water.

When I had lost my watch, it was put on the desk by room cleaning person after coming back to the hotel.

The master did not do twice which he told me : one is serving breakfast at 7 o'clock to my room and another is serving breakfast at 8 o'clock in the lobby and call me a taxi at 8:40.

I adore Lucia, the owner!! So very helpful and gracious. I lived the location if this hotel. It was within walking distance of most all major attractions and those that weren't were just a metro ride away. The metro was so very easy. If you'll be in Roma for more than 2 days get the "big" metro pass. It let's you ride, metro & bus as often as you want. We stayed for 4 nights. Very expensive, bring lots of money!!

I've enjoyed it all!!! Life and living are an adventure and should be lived to the fullest!!!

Situated close to the things we preferred to see over a prolonged week- end. E.g Colloseum and Forum Romanum. Staff was very friendly and service- minded (though not all speaking english we managed to communicate very well).

Very noisy neighborhood, but this was expected in the middle of Rome.

the wireless internet connection is not available in all hote rooms but only close to the reception. There is no elevator for guests, while the rooms are at the 3rd floor with step stairs. Reception is closed after 23.pm. Coffee is very bad.

It's just the ideal place for those who want to stay in the heart of the city and not overpay.
